Hi Folks! My name is Ja'Lani Foster, a junior in high school from the Bay Area California! To get to know me, you need to know these five things I love: Arts, Science, Advocacy, Movies, and carbs. I love to eat anything from pasta to bread, and you will always see a smile on my face as I do. I love 80's - 90's movies and anything new as I am super open minded to a good binge. To combine the arts and sciences, I love lots of art from paint, writing poetry, to fashion and dancing. The world of science excites me from Astronomy to Neuroscience. Lastly, advocacy is a passion of mine that I love to spread to others to stand up and make your voice heard when others can't be heard to support one another. I am super excited to be a part of Made of Love Not Genes!

Eliza Sanders, a senior from Kingsport, Tennessee, was adopted from the Guangdong Province of China when she was 12 months old. Becoming part of a family completely changed her life, so her dream is that all children would have a family to call their own. Eliza understands that most people may never adopt or foster, but she wants to share ways they can do their part to help children find a forever family. She is excited to partner with Anna Spaulding in heading Social Media and Research for Made of Love Not Genes. In addition to adoption and foster care advocacy, Eliza is passionate about dance. She is a captain of her school’s dance team, where she received All-American honors; a dance captain for the musical theatre department; and a member of her dance studio’s select performance team. Eliza has also volunteered for several years at a Chinese cultural dance program through a local adoption support group. She is involved in many other school and community activities, including Student Council, Beta Club, Mayor’s Youth Council and the Miss America Organization Outstanding Teen program.
